	Laura Margarita Rodríguez Peralta obtained her BSc. Degree on Computer Sciences from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), México in 1994, and her MSc degree on Computational Systems from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla (UDLA-P), México in December 1997. In 1999, She obtained her Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (DEA) on Telecommunication and Systems from Universidad Joseph Fourier (UJF) Grenoble (France), and in 2003 she obtained her PhD degree on Informatics and Telecommunications from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (ENSEEIHT/INPT), France. His PhD work was carried out at the Laboratory of Analysis and Architecture of Systems from the CNRS (LAAS-CNRS) in Toulouse (France).The contributions of his PhD thesis were part of the project Distributed Systems Engineering (DSE). The DSE Project is intended to support Distributed Systems Engineering activities, facilitating distributed collaboration on the whole System Engineering LifeCycle in complex and international projects. DSE put special emphasis on Design and Verification activities involving a large and multi-level customer-supplier network. In 2003-2004 she worked in the Faculdade de Engenharia Mecânica da Universidade de Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), and the research laboratory Centro de Pesquisas Renato Archer (CenPRA), as a research fellow (post-doc) Among her research interests are the collaborative engineering (CSCW), groupware, web technologies, database, distributed systems, parallel systems, computer networks and multimedia applications.
